What We Believe
The Authority of Scripture
We believe the Bible—the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments—is the inspired, infallible, and final authority for faith and life. Scripture is complete, sufficient, and without error in the original manuscripts, standing above tradition, culture, and human opinion.
2 Timothy 3:16–17; Isaiah 40:8; Revelation 22:18–19; Acts 17:11The Nature of God
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is perfect in holiness, love, justice, mercy, power, and truth, and is fully sufficient for salvation and life.
Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 4:24; 1 John 5:7–8God the Father
God the Father is the Creator and sovereign ruler over all things. He draws people to Himself, sent His Son for our salvation, adopts believers as His children, and works all things according to His will.
Genesis 1:1; Psalm 115:3; Galatians 4:6; Romans 8:15–17; Hebrews 12:5–11; John 3:16; John 6:44; Ephesians 1:3–6Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, the only mediator between God and humanity. He lived a sinless life, died for sin, rose from the dead, ascended to heaven, and will return in power and glory. Salvation is found in Him alone.
John 1:1,14; Luke 1:35; 1 Timothy 2:5; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Acts 4:12The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is God, active in the world and in believers. He convicts of sin, gives new life, indwells believers, produces spiritual fruit, and empowers the church for witness and obedience.
Acts 1:8; John 3:5–6; 1 Corinthians 3:16; Galatians 5:22–23; 1 Corinthians 12:4–7Angels, Satan, and Demons
Angels are created beings who serve God. Satan is a fallen being who opposes God but is ultimately defeated. Demons are fallen angels, yet Christ has already secured victory over all spiritual darkness.
Hebrews 1:14; Psalm 91:11; Isaiah 14:12–15; Ezekiel 28:12–17; John 8:44; Revelation 12:9–10; 1 John 4:4; Ephesians 6:10–12Sin and Salvation
All people are born in sin and separated from God. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, bringing forgiveness, transformation, and new life.
Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9; Galatians 5:16–25The Church
The Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers. The local church is called to worship God, equip believers, and proclaim the gospel in unity and mission.
1 Corinthians 12:27; Romans 12:5; Matthew 28:19–20The Return of Christ
Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to establish His Kingdom. His return is the blessed hope of believers and calls us to live faithful, watchful lives.
Acts 1:11; Revelation 1:7; 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18; 1 Corinthians 15:51–52; John 14:1–3
leaders
Our
Leaders
Pastor Onaje Stevens serves as the lead pastor of Harvest Time Christian Fellowship. Pastor Naj, as we like to call him, carries a deep and convicting passion for both the culture and the cross. As an avid reader and lifelong student, his teachings are rich with historical depth while remaining relevant and practical for today’s world.
For many years, he quietly and faithfully served with his father, the late Pastor Vincent J. Stevens—not for recognition, but simply out of a desire to help. What began as humble service grew into deeper discipleship. In time, God would call him to continue the work his father began, building on the foundation of strong biblical teaching and godly character.
Pastor Naj leads Harvest Time with clarity of vision, a heart for spiritual formation, and a steady commitment to building up authentic disciples. He serves alongside his wife, Amber, who leads The Well women’s ministry, creating spaces for women to grow as disciples, build meaningful relationships, and be strengthened in their walk with Christ.
Together, they are committed to cultivating a healthy community that is rooted in discipleship, and are raising their two daughters, Nia and Zuri, to love God and walk in their purpose.
legacy
Our
Legacy
Harvest Time Christian Fellowship was founded in 1991 by Pastor Vincent J. Stevens and his wife, Stephanie, in Philadelphia, PA. What began as a simple weekly Bible study quickly grew into a vibrant, multi-generational church rooted in sound biblical teaching and a deep commitment to character development.
From the start, Harvest Time Christian Fellowship attracted people from a variety of backgrounds and ethnicities. Many of them were college students seeking truth and spiritual growth. During the early 2000s, the church saw a growing number of young adults find their spiritual home here, with many remaining connected well beyond their college years.
